Starting Off your scoubidou |
Starting off your first scoubidou
Firstly if you want a loop on the end of your scoobidou then you'll need to tie a flat knot around a pencil. You don't have to start with a loop though. You can either knot them together simply or knot them onto a keyring loop. A flat knot is a simple overhand knot. One you probably tie all the time...
a knot which is formed by making a loop in a piece of cord and pulling
the end through it.
Your second thread needs to be put under the join of the knot to make it lie nicely. If you try tieing this a few times you'll see what I mean. It can be tricky but its worth the effort of retying to get it in the right place. You should check the ends are level (you're tying the knot in the middle of the scoubidous) We're taking some more pics of this tomorrow to make it clearer.
